On November 9th, Dignitas hosted a special advanced charity screening of ARRIVAL at Toronto’s Scotiabank Theatre, followed by a cocktail reception at the stylish Storys Building a few blocks away. We’re very happy to report that over 300 people came out for the night, helping us raise over $100,000.
Events like this are important to Dignitas because they help us provide much needed funding for our medical and research programs in Malawi, and also help support the work we do to improve health care alongside First Nations communities in the Sioux Lookout Area in Northern Ontario.
It is with no small amount of gratitude that we thank event sponsors:
We are also grateful to the many individual supporters that attended the ARRIVAL screening in support of our work – you all made a big difference in helping people regain their health and reclaim their dignity.
Your support means that we will be able maintain our commitment to bring an end to the AIDS epidemic in Malawi within the next 15 years.
Your support also means that we will be able to expand the work we are doing with First Nations communities in northern Ontario, addressing a broader range of health issues in more places.
Your support also allows us to move into some new areas of work that will give us even more opportunities to develop innovative solutions to emerging global health challenges.
Dignitas International is a relatively young organization, but we’re proud of the accomplishments we’ve made. We owe this to the support we continue to receive from our donors in support of our mission to build strong, sustainable health systems that advance equity and dignity for all. Thank you.
