Over the last 10 years this organization has made a significant impact on the lives of so many people. Your contribution has been crucial in making that difference. Thank you.
During my time at Dignitas, we celebrated many triumphs while overcoming a number of challenges. Through it all, the passionate commitment from our staff, our board and our supporters has been constant. Without that, our impact would not have been possible.
Moving into the next 10 years, the Dignitas team plans to continue adapting to the changing patient needs and shifting global context by bringing together medical care with research and policy engagement. It is the organization’s unique balance of activities that will allow Dignitas to reach many more people throughout the world and in doing so, punch well above its weight.
The team will continue to strive to transform patient health, not only in Malawi but also in other regions of the globe including northern Canada. Alongside treating patients with infectious diseases, Dignitas will transition to encompass integrated strategies for treating and preventing non-communicable diseases, which are predicted to be the leading causes of death in Africa in the next two decades.
Over the past few months, the Board completed an executive search. I am pleased to report that a strong CEO has been selected and will start in January 2015. As for me, I plan to remain a strong supporter of the organization as we step into the next phase of exciting growth.
It has been an incredible journey, which has just begun. Knowing that, I hope that you will continue to help Dignitas make a meaningful difference in the lives of so many, as the best is yet to come.
Wishing you all the very best,
President and CEO, Dignitas International
